February 2026

New Year, same goals—and at Alcovy CASA, that goal is quality advocacy for the children in our community who need it most.

At the start of this year, my family and I talked about simple New Year’s resolutions—nothing complicated, just goals we’re committed to sticking with. Mine was to read more, whether through audiobooks (thank you to our local library for free audiobooks!) or good old-fashioned paper books. My husband, DJ, committed to drinking more water. One of our daughters, Olivia, set a goal to walk more for exercise. They’re small goals, but they’re intentional—and we’re holding each other accountable.

That spirit of commitment is exactly what fuels CASA volunteers.

While it’s a new year, our mission remains the same: ensuring children in foster care have a consistent, trained advocate by their side—someone committed to showing up, speaking up, and staying focused on what’s best for each child.

There are many ways to support CASA this year:

  • Become a CASA volunteer and make a direct, lasting impact in a child’s life

  • Donate to help sustain advocacy during a time of growing need

  • Share our mission with friends, family, and colleagues

  • Partner with us as a business or community organization

We are currently setting dates for our 2026 training classes, and now is a great time to fill out an application. If you’re looking for a New Year’s goal that truly matters, one that can change the trajectory of a child’s life, this could be it. February is not too late to start 2026 off with an impact!

Thank you for your continued support and for being part of a community committed to keeping its goals, especially when it comes to our kids.
