When Scott Tredeau, Publisher of The Newton Community Magazine and devoted supporter of Alcovy CASA, was planning the cover for the Spring 2025 issue, he immediately thought of his best friend, Scott Fuss—a talented local artist with a heart as big as his brushstrokes. He asked if he could use one of Fuss’s original watercolors for the cover. Without hesitation, Scott Fuss said yes. That’s just the kind of friend—and neighbor—he is.

 

When the magazine hit the shelves, Tredeau, who also serves on Alcovy CASA’s Board of Directors, saw something more than a beautiful cover. He saw an opportunity to turn art into action. He called his friend once more, this time asking if he’d consider donating the original piece to benefit Alcovy CASA. And once again, with a generous heart, Fuss said yes.

 

Scott Fuss is more than an artist—he’s a longtime Newton County resident, a devoted husband and father, and a dedicated Snapping Shoals EMC employee. With Snapping Shoals EMC already a valued partner of Alcovy CASA, this meaningful gesture brings even more warmth to a strong and caring community bond.
